MEISSNER LAUNCHES DIESEL GENERATORS
Meissner, suppliers of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs) in South Africa for over 40 years have extended their product offering by launching a range of diesel generators and in doing so are able to offer their customers a complete and compatible standby power solution.
Meissner’s Generator Division is being managed by Dave Warren assisted by Marcel Hanekom. Warren states that Meissner are now able to offer customers an uncompromising turnkey solution coupled with Meissner’s high standard of after sales service. The Himoinsa range of generators imported from Spain, incorporate IVECO, Perkins, Scania and Volvo engines with Stamford alternators and as such are aimed at the more discerning customer for professional applications. Meissner took the decision to import these generators in the face of generator shortages as well as systems that did not match their customers exacting standards.
The Himoinsa diesel generators are designed to latest technology standards and built to meet client’s expectations and environmental obligations. Despite this they are very competitively priced compared to similar products on the market.
Within 6 weeks of introducing the product to their customers Meissner received 2 orders. The first order valued at R7million is for the supply of 18 soundproof units to a hospital group. The second order is for an 800kVA Genset for the new extension to the Johannesburg Country Club in Woodmead.
